H-1B is a non-immigrant visa in the United States which permits US employers to employ foreign workers in specialty occupations that need theoretical or technical expertise. In order to handle the enormous rush of new petitions, premium processing of H-1B Visa was suspended in April this year. A settlement is made on each application within 15 calendar days for a fee of $ 1,225 under this programme. The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will refund the petitioners premium processing service fee and continue with hastened application processing if the 15 calendar day processing time is not met.
