The Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) has been designed to evaluate skilled professionals willing to migrate to a city or region within the province of Quebec in Canada.

There is a two-step immigration process for foreign nationals who want to opt for Permanent Resident Visa for Quebec.

1 Quebec’s immigration authority- The Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (MIDI), should select the applicant. Chosen applicants will be given a Quebec Certificat de Sélection (CSQ).

MIDI- the Quebec government department managing immigration to the province has announced that it will accept up to 5,000 new applications under the QSWP over an intake period that will occur before March 31, 2018.

2 An application must be filed with Canadian Federal Immigration Authorities by the approved CSQ holder. The federal government’s responsibility in assessing a Quebec Application for Canadian Permanent Residence Visa is mainly confined to ambits of health and criminality.

Eligibility

Quebec Skilled Immigration System is point based and applicants are evaluated on factors such as education, work experience and language proficiency for Visa Immigration Canada. A single (unmarried) candidate should score at least 50 points in this system. A candidate with a spouse or common-law partner must score at least 59 points for Quebec Immigration.
