Australia Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 489) permits skilled workers to reside and work in regional or low – population growth metropolitan areas of the nation for up to 4 years. It can lead to Subclass 887 Australia PR Visa.

Extended Stay Pathway –
You should hold any one of these visa categories:
Australia Skilled Regional Sponsored Visa-subclass 475
Australia Skilled Regional Sponsored Visa-subclass 487
Australia Skilled Independent Regional (Provisional) Visa-subclass 495
Australia Skilled Designated Area Sponsored Visa-subclass 496

Invited Pathway-
An individual must be nominated by a state or territory government agency or be sponsored by an eligible relative for the invited pathway. You are permitted to live, work and study only in parts of Australia if you are nominated by:
A state or territory government agency (regional or low-population growth metropolitan area)
Sponsored by a relative (designated area of Australia)
Subsequent Entry Pathway-Applicants who are a member of a family of someone who already holds a Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 489) or a subclass 475, 487,495 or 496 Australian Immigration Visa can opt for Subsequent Entry Pathway.
